Pool barrier requirements

Pool fencing in NSW must meet the requirements of the Swimming Pools Act and the applicable Australian Standard (AS 1926.1). Height, gaps, non-climbable zones and self-closing, self-latching gates all apply, and compliance depends on the whole barrier and its surroundings – not just the panel.
