Colorbond gates
Built to match your Colorbond fence: single pedestrian gates, double driveway gates and sliding gates, with a D-latch as standard and a drop bolt on doubles.
A Colorbond gate is a welded frame clad in the same Colorbond sheet as your fence, hung on powder-coated posts – 50 × 50 mm for single gates and 65 × 65 mm for doubles – with black plastic caps. Single gates go up to 1.5 m wide; double gates up to 3.1 m; anything wider or on a slope is usually better as a sliding gate.
Heights follow the fence: 1.5 m, 1.8 m, 2.1 m or 2.4 m. Gates 1.5 m and 1.8 m high can have a 300 mm lattice, louvre or slat top to match an insert fence. Choose either sheet profile and any Colorbond colour; a two-tone frame costs no more.
Every gate comes with a standard D-latch that can be padlocked from one side. Double gates also get a drop bolt. A double-sided key lock is an optional extra. Gates are available in component form (kit) or pre-made to size.
Colorbond single and double gates we have built
Single gates
Pedestrian gates for side passages and front paths. Standard width is around 1 m between posts; we can go up to 1.5 m. Hinged to open in or out to suit the path and any slope.
Double gates
Driveway gates up to 3.1 m in total width, hung from 65 × 65 mm posts with a drop bolt in the centre and a D-latch. Double gates can be automated with a swing-gate kit if there is power nearby.

Common questions
Do gates come with a lock?
All gates come with a standard D-latch which can be padlocked on one side. Double gates also come with a drop bolt. A key lock is an additional cost and is not standard.
Which way will the gate open?
We set the hinge side and swing to suit your path, slope and any obstructions, and confirm it with you at the site measure.
Can a Colorbond gate be automated?
Double swing gates and sliding gates can be motorised with the right kit for their weight and length. See sliding and automatic gates.
How long does a gate take?
Kits are usually available within one to two weeks; installed gates are fitted with the fence or on a separate visit.
