Sliding or swing gate?
A sliding gate needs a clear run along the fence line about the width of the opening plus half a metre, but no room for the gate to swing – ideal for short driveways and sloping sites. Swing gates need level ground to open across. We advise on site.
How big can a sliding gate be?
Fabricated sliding gates can be made from about 1 m up to 7.5 m between posts and up to 2.1 m high. Colorbond sliding gates are typically up to 4 m x 1.8 m; louvre and slat gates are made to your opening.
Can any gate be automated?
Most sliding and double swing gates can be motorised, but the motor must suit the gate's weight and length, and a power point is needed at or within about 50 m of the gate (or a solar kit for sunny sites). Weight limits are listed on our automation options.
Is delivery available on fabricated gates?
Yes, delivery within Sydney can be arranged and is quoted with the gate.
